A great way to try out the sport!
This indoor program is open to the public Saturday mornings — February 6, 13, 20, and 27, 10:00am to 12:00pm. We provide the bows and arrows for all ages.
Participants need to bring a face mask. We will space out archers.
In this program, open to the public, young people (ages 12-19), learn safe firearms handling and proper marksmanship fundamentals.
They learn to shoot prone, sitting, kneeling, and offhand from several experienced instructors. The final shoot is a competition and the top shooter is awarded a trophy.
Participants need to bring eye and hearing protection as well as a face mask.
All rifles will be sanitized between firing stages and we will space out shooters on the firing line.
22 caliber target rifles are provided.
The 2021 program will run Saturdays 8:00am to 12:00pm, January 16 – March 27 in our indoor range.
Cost: $30 per participant. Includes targets, ammunition, and use of club target rifles.
We’re proud of our programs that introduce air gun shooting to the public –adults and children, age 9 and older.
We use .177 CAL pellets. Rifles must have iron sights only, and should be adjustable. If you do not have a match quality air rifle, you can use one of the club’s excellent Kimber rifles that were purchased with a grant from the NRA Foundation.
Prior to Covid, the programs ran on Saturday mornings from January through mid-April.
